Disasters Survivable in Comfort?

Welcome to Emergency and Disaster Survival.com, a website about dealing with emergencies or worse, and living through disasters and catastrophes with some of the comforts we have grown used to.

I am of the firm belief that being prepared for the worst will ultimately allow most forward thinking individuals to not only survive the worst circumstances but to actually thrive and flourish under new conditions.  Shades of “survival of the fittest”, eh?
This will be the new rule for autonomous individuals and communities alike, adapt or die.  Looking at what our government is doing right now I wouldn’t be depending on them to do anything more than hide in their super-shelters and let the rest of the populace fend for themselves.
I personally can’t trust a government that allows the poisoning of the population and has a total disregard for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.   What would the people do if the media actually reported news objectively?  What will happen when people discover that there has been cures for cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc, for many years but there is more money to be made by keeping them on drugs for the rest of their lives?
So, make of it what you will but there are big changes coming soon, how about the talk of 2012?   Where and when the shit hits the fan won’t be a big surprise for those who are prepared.  I will include articles and reviews of essential equipment and  supplies necessary for the survival of natural and unnatural disasters, terrorist attacks, mass evacuations, and complete economic or political meltdowns (worse than what we’re experiencing now).

Any forward thinking and reasonably intelligent person should at least see some indications of the dissolution of our society.  Aren’t things different than they used to be?  I mean radical changes like the President of the USA talking about wealth re-distribution, My Gawd!  That is Marxism, not Capitalism the basis of our society.
The signs are all around us right now, we’re just too involved to see them.  Or perhaps the powers that be are keeping the whole truth from the masses as many believe.
It is quite obvious that something is going on economically which in turn fuels the political rhetoric and contributes to more big government or is it the other way around?  Either way it means more control by the government and fewer ‘inalienable’ rights for the individuals.
Needless to say, people everywhere should be prepared to withstand sudden changes to their environment.  These changes can be anything from a blizzard to an earthquake, or from a terrorist’s dirty bomb to an impact by a huge meteorite, tsunamis, hurricanes, reactor meltdowns, political upheaval, revolutions, even another world war.
If you care enough about your family and friends and yourself to keep living through the chuckholes in the highway of life instead of letting someone else hold the steering wheel of command and dictate your destiny, you’ll want to check this site out.

It’s time to re-arrange your comfort zone with the proper equipment and supplies so that your way of life in the near future will still be under your control and at the very least able to provide the basic necessities of  life for you and yours.
